25 March 2009 -- San Francisco, CA—Children’s Book Press (CBP), a nonprofit publisher of multicultural and bilingual children’s literature, has launched its newly redesigned website, www.childrensbookpress.org.
The Press introduces a fresh, dynamic look with its updated logo and tagline, “Many Voices, One World.” Among the enhancements, the site now features an easy-to-navigate home page, multimedia gallery with audio and video clips, publisher blog, educator resources and an inside look at its books with the use of Google Preview. In addition to the new and improved design, CBP will be distributing a monthly e-newsletter to subscribers with the latest news, events and promotions.
“We are very excited to have a redesigned website that reflects the renowned publishing work of Children’s Book Press and that also provides dynamic tools to engage our highly diverse local and national public,” says Lorraine García-Nakata, Publisher & Executive Director.
The site features a convenient way to make tax-deductible contributions, which helps the Press fulfill its mission to connect kids to their rich and varied cultures, home languages, and emerging identities. Visitors can contribute online or by mail by visiting the “Get Involved” section.
The complete redesign of the website was made possible by the support of the AT&T Foundation, which awarded the Press a $25,000 grant as part of the 2007 AT&T Foundation Excelerator Competitive Grants Program, an initiative designed to help nonprofits fully integrate technology into their ongoing operations and community outreach.
“We are grateful to AT&T for underwriting this effort as it will increase the number of children and families who will witness themselves in our highly unique and needed literary resources,” says the Publisher & Executive Director.
