David Perry is proud to represent the USS Potomac (www.usspotomac.org) the national historic landmark Presidential Yacht of Franklin Delano Roosevelt. The “Floating White House” was originally commissioned the USCG Cutter Electra in 1934. In 1936 it was renamed the Potomac and served as Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s Presidential Yacht until his death in 1945.

More than a quarter of a million people have visited and sailed aboard the former President’s beloved home at sea, since it opened to the public in the summer of 1995. $5 million was spent over a 12-year period to restore the 165-foot-long vessel as a memorial to the president who authored the New Deal and led the United States during the Great Depression and the World War II years.

On November 4, 2008, David Perry & Associates hosted a memorable election night party which raised funds for both the Potomac and the nearby WWII Liberty Ship Jeremiah O'Brien. Another such benefit party is planned for election night 2010. In May 2009, the Potomac played host to another "President", when it escorted the West Coast's first wax figure of President Barack Obama to its new home, San Francisco's Wax Museum at Fisherman's Wharf. Besides educating a new generation of history buffs, the USS Potomac is available for Bay Cruises and private charters.
