At 95 years young, San Francisco artist Elaine Badgley Arnoux is still at work, most recently having completed an official portrait of San Francisco Mayor London N. Breed and a sculpture, “Kneeling Man”, inspired by the activism of Colin Kaepernick and dedicated to #BlackLivesMatter. April 20, 2021 was declared “Elaine Badgley Arnoux Day” in San Francisco in honor of her 95th birthday and her ongoing legacy to the cultural life of San Francisco.
