When the state-of-the-art ,732,000 square foot multi-use entertainment and sports center opens in fall of 2016, it will instantly become an icon of forward-thinking design: green, trend-setting and energy efficient. Designed by AECOM, Golden 1 Center will join a celebrated portfolio of leading-edge work on such projects as the 2012 London Olympic Park, the 2016 Rio Olympic Park, and 11 other NBA arenas, including Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
