WHAT:
Mayor London N. Breed will join Police Chief Bill Scott, District Attorney Brooke Jenkins, City leaders, business and community leaders to announce the kickoff for the 2023 Safe Shopping Initiative in and around the Union Square area for the upcoming holiday season
The City will again deploy additional police and community ambassadors to the area to enhance public safety and maintain a safe shopping experience for visitors, workers, and residents.

(between Post and Geary Street)
The press event will take place in the lower plaza area in front of the Macy’s Holiday Tree. Media should plan to arrive by 10:45 A.M.
