A nonprofit supporting the Palm Springs Unified School District (PSUSD), The Foundation for PSUSD builds public-private partnerships to strengthen education and create opportunities for students. The Foundation leads innovative initiatives in technology, science, the arts, leadership, and health and wellness, designed to prepare students and open doors to new pathways for the future, either in postsecondary education or a career after high school. Partnering with individual investors, businesses, community leaders, mentors, teachers, and parents boosts rates of student success and helps sustain a thriving, vibrant community. The Foundation’s first program awarded micro-grants to classroom teachers; today, the team supports a dozen initiatives at any given time, ranging from FAA student drone training to students performing with Broadway musical artists, from college prep mentoring and college tours to major wellness initiatives in schools, all aimed at increasing achievement and opening possibilities for student futures.
