19 October 2015 — San Francisco, CA: This month, Golden Gate Global (www.3GFund.com ), one of the most respected and successful EB-5 immigration invesment companies in the United States, is in China to unveil a new blue-chip opportunity for EB-5 investment: Golden 1 Center and Downtown Commons (DOCO), the newest and most technologically advanced entertainment and sports center in America, situated in the heart of downtown Sacramento. Presentations will take place in Shenyang on October 24; on October 24 & 31 in Beijing; on October 25 in Dalian, and on October 31 & November 1 in Shanghai.

“California is known around the world as the birthplace of American innovation and the seventh largest economy in the world,” said Ginny Fang, CEO of Golden Gate Global, based in San Francisco. “Since its founding during the Gold Rush, California has been fed and fueled by Chinese entrepreneurship. Today, Golden Gate Global is seeking investment for a new ‘Gold Rush’: Golden 1 Center and DOCO for the Sacramento Kings.”

Currently under construction and set to open next year, Golden 1 Center and DOCO, is being built by the National Basketball Association’s (NBA) Sacramento Kings. More than just an internationally-recognized and iconic destination for world-class entertainment and sports at Golden 1 Center, DOCO will feature world-class retail, technologically-advanced office space, premium residences, and luxury hospitality from global leader InterContinental Hotels Group and Kimpton Hotels.

“Basketball is only part of the story behind Sacramento’s economic renaissance. This unprecedented multimillion dollar flagship development is in the vibrant center of America’s most important state capital,” said John Rinehart, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Sacramento Kings. “Golden 1 Center will be endlessly adaptable, hosting concerts, ice shows, indoor rodeos, trade shows, large graduations, family entertainment and other offerings never before available. As a business investment, it is a once in a lifetime golden opportunity.”

When the state-of-the-art ,732,000 square foot multi-use entertainment and sports center opens in fall of 2016, it will instantly become an icon of forward-thinking design: green, trend-setting and energy efficient. Designed by AECOM, Golden 1 Center will join a celebrated portfolio of leading-edge work on such projects as the 2012 London Olympic Park, the 2016 Rio Olympic Park, and 11 other NBA arenas, including Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

“Our partnership with Golden Gate Global is a prime example of how government and business can work together to create jobs to improve economic growth and quality of life,” said Chris Granger, President and Chief Operating Officer of the Sacramento Kings. “Hundreds of families from over 20 different countries have invested with Golden Gate Global to achieve their immigration goals, while at the same time providing jobs for American workers.”

Golden Gate Global is a federally designated center to assist foreign nationals in obtaining permanent U.S. residency under the federal EB-5 program. With Golden Gate Global’s assistance, nearly 600 families have been able to access improved educational and career opportunities in the U.S. through the program. The company’s 100% I-526 and exemplar approval rates stem from the strength of its carefully selected tier-1 project partners, all of which have outstanding track records.

23 October 2015 – San Francisco, CA: (What will you be doing in your hometown and home neighborhood on Saturday, October 31 — Halloween 2015? For the eighth year, San Francisco’s Home for Halloween campaign www.homeforhalloween.com is urging people to celebrate the costume-filled holiday close to home in an effort to spur their local business communities and also remind revelers to keep the holiday safe and sane.

“Halloween is a fun family tradition, and I encourage all San Franciscans to be safe when they are out celebrating,” said San Francisco Mayor Edwin M. Lee. “There are many wonderful and safe events happening in San Francisco neighborhoods and throughout the Bay Area, and we are encouraging people to celebrate Halloween in their local neighborhoods and cities.”

“We want to be clear, there will be NO street closure and NO event in San Francisco’s Castro District. The Castro, while open for business, will not be closed for a street party,” said San Francisco Police Chief Greg Suhr.

The multi-layered Home for Halloween campaign was launched eight years ago to discourage individuals who live outside of San Francisco from coming into the Castro neighborhood on October 31 and overwhelming the mostly residential neighborhood and its smattering of small businesses and bars. In addition, the campaign has proved a catalyst for other San Francisco neighborhoods to sponsor activities outside of the Castro. The Home for Halloween website includes a broad list of activities occurring around the Bay Area on Halloween evening. Comprehensive transportation and public safety information is included.

A reminder: while Daylight Savings Time officially ends at 2am on Sunday, November 1 — following Halloween on Saturday evening — this in no way changes the closing hours for bars, restaurants and other venues serving alcoholic beverages. No matter the time to which the clock ‘falls back’, by law, all bars close two hours after midnight.

“Above all, this is a public safety campaign,” says Suhr, noting that over the years, Halloween has sometimes become an excuse for nuisance and even violent behavior. “For those people who would come into the Castro — or any part of the City — with bad intentions and exhibiting bad behavior, the message is very clear: stay home.”

16 October 2015 – San Francisco, CA: Ursula Andrews and Jill St. John have nothing on Suzanne Agasi. The 44 year old Bay Area native joins a long and sultry list of 007 legends as the latest “Bond Girl”….with a twist. Less than six months after discovering her own breast cancer and undergoing a radical double mastectomy, Agasi is turning her diagnosis into charity with the Be Bond! Casino Night & Charity Auction at San Jose’s spy-chic GlassHouse (2 S. Market Street) on Saturday, November 7: 7pm ’til midnight. 100% of proceeds from the event go to the nonprofit Registry for a Cause (RegistryForACause.org). The event is co-sponsored by Chrysalis Connections. Registration is $100 per person and can be purchased online at: BeBond/eventbrite.com

“When I was diagnosed with aggressive Stage III breast cancer on June 1st, I shared the news with close friends and family, and received an overwhelming amount of offers to help,” says Agasi who is currently undergoing 16 rounds of chemotherapy between now and the holidays, plus other aggressive treatments following removal of both breasts. In 2016, six weeks of radiation on her lymph nodes and reconstructive surgery will follow. “My very personal journey gave me the idea for Registry for a Cause.org”

Set up similarly to an online wedding registry, RegistryForACause.org will allow those in need to specify what they want or wish to receive: flowers, acupuncture, vitamins, maid service, dog walking, homemade chicken soup, whatever friends or loved ones opt to select. Additionally, the site contains a calendar and photo sharing application that integrates with Facebook and other online contact lists.

“I was overwhelmed when I got my diagnosis,” recalls Agasi. “I did not know at that moment what I needed, and needs change daily depending on one’s prognosis. However, one quickly realizes all the ways that those who love you can help, and it’s not always financial. Some have time. Some have money. But they can’t read minds. I learned that dealing with crisis, illness, and recovery is something very personal; so everyone’s situation and needs are unique to them. Registry for a Cause takes the guesswork out of helping a loved one in need.

Turning work into good actions is not new to Agasi, a well-known presence and fashion maven advocate throughout California having hosted nearly 300 Clothing Swap parties and various other charitable events to benefit breast cancer awareness, abused women’s shelters such as La Casa de las Madres, San Francisco Firefighter Toy Program, St. Luke’s Hospital Women’s Cardiovasular Unit. Suzanne tirelessly trained and fundraised as a cyclist in four consecutive AIDS LifeCycles, hosting Fashion Show Galas for the cause. Over the last 20 years, she has personally raised more than $100,000 for local charities.

“I’m going to fight cancer with a smile, and this new nonprofit will help others get through challenging times dealing with crisis as well,” she says in her usually upbeat way. “October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. I had volunteered at the Catwalk for a Cure event for Sutter Santa Rosa for several years, prior to my cancer diagnosis. This year, Sukie Gill, their event planner, invited me to be a model in this year’s Catwalk Fashion Show. This was where I ‘came out’ and decided to share my story to help others. I hope to be on the ‘Survivor Stage’ at next year’s 14th Annual Catwalk for a Cure. ”

The Be Bond Casino Night & Charity Auction takes place from 7pm ’til Midnight on Saturday, November 7 at San Jose’s GlassHouse event venue at 2 S. Market Street. The$100 per person registration includes:

$100 in gaming chips (use your winnings to bid on auction items)

About Registry for a Cause:

RegistryForACause.org is creating a detailed website wherein those in need (crisis such as cancer, injury, wounded warriors, etc) as well as happy events (adoption, pregnancy, etc ) can specify specific ways in which loved ones can assist. From simple requests such as walking their dog and cleaning their home, to transportation and needed items. How many times have we said to someone “How can I help?” On the other end of that, is someone we love, that is overwhelmed and in need, but often too stoic or too proud to truly let you know. This site guides them and lets them truly communicate their needs to family, friend and loved ones while also providing a calendar and updates to their situation. Sponsorship inquiries or to donate an auction item or package, can be sent to: registryforacause@gmail.com [widgetkit id=26]
