WHY:

Fisherman’s Wharf Community Benefit District is on track to be a Zero Waste Zone by 2018, two years ahead of the city’s mandated deadline. Green Initiatives for Venues and Events (GIVE) is a nonprofit technical council of the California Resource Recovery Association (www.crra.com) and is dedicated to reducing waste at venue facilities and special events. GIVE wants to help you learn ways to cut the costs of event operations through zero waste, waste reduction, recycling and composting practices.
